HOPE Initiative
A collaboration with selected universities and colleges to offer access and affordable education to students from B40 and M40 communities through a combination of scholarship and financial assistance.

To increase access creating by creating various routes and opportunities for financially disadvantaged students to achieve their educational goals.

To provide financial aid to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

To support students with academic resources, mentorship, and career development opportunities.

To strengthen the relationship between academia and social development initiatives.

The selection process will be jointly managed by a Joint Selection Committee, ensuring transparency and fairness. The criteria will include:

Malaysian citizen, below 25 years old.

Household income within the B40 and M40 income categories stipulated in Malaysia.

Applying for Foundation, Diploma or Degree programmes as stipulated in the list of programmes.

Shows academic excellence and commitment to higher education.

Demonstrated leadership potential and community engagement.

Successful completion of the application form and interview process.
Qualified applicants will be invited for a face to face or online interview between the applicant and the Joint Selection Committee.

Applicant visits www.ammafoundation.com.my/HOPEInitiative to review the disciplines and programmes offered by various participating universities and colleges.

Participating University or College may identify suitable applicants and recommend them to apply under the HOPE Initiative.

Applicant must assess if they meet the criteria jointly set by AMMA Foundation and the participating University or College.

Applicant selects the programme that best aligns to their interest, ability, strengths and financial means.

Applicant:

Downloads the Programme Application Form of the selected University or College, completes the application form and provides all required supporting documents of the University or College.

Downloads the AMMA Foundation Financial Assistance Application Form, completes the application form and provides all required supporting documents of AMMA Foundation : AMMA Foundation Financial Assistance App Form 2025

Submits both application forms to AMMA Foundation by email to engage@ammafoundation.com.my

AMMA Foundation checks application forms and supporting documents for completeness and submit the Programme Application Form to the University or College.

University or College confirms to AMMA Foundation that applicant qualifies and can be accepted into the selected programme.

A Joint Selection Committee, consisting members from AMMA Foundation and the University or College will invite qualified applicant for a face to face or online interview between the applicant and the Joint Selection Committee.

Successful applicant accepts the offer and the terms and conditions in writing via email.

Successful applicant must complete all documentary formalities with the University or College and with AMMA Foundation before commencement of the programme of study.

Successful applicant commences programme of study.

Scholarship and Financial Assistance recipient sends their academic progress reports to AMMA Foundation by email each semester.

The List of programmes under the HOPE Initiative, intake dates, number of scholarships available, fee amount waived by the University or College and the remaining amount payable by student is listed below of this Agreement.
Deadline for Applications
Closing Date for Application is 30 June 2025 or at least one month before the intake date for the programme you are applying for,
whichever is earlier.
