Dear Readers,

Harith Iskander, Douglas Lim, Allan Perera, Kavin Jay and Rizal Van Geyzel came together for “Stand-Up for Education” to raise funds for needy and deserving young Malaysians in support of the AMMA Foundation, the education arm of AMMA (The All Malaysia Malayalee Association).

The Foundation provides monetary assistance, scholarships, grants, community outreach as well as networking opportunities to young graduates.

The Foundation also funds the Right to Learn project for orphans and underprivileged students by providing them tuition classes and leadership programmes.

AMMA Foundation President Girish Ramachandran said education was the foundation to a better life. He also reminded youths to be well-rounded individuals.

AMMA Youth chairman Dinesh Nair said they aim to make education accessible to deserving young Malaysians.

“The success of ‘Stand-Up for Education’, which was a sell-out event, is an indication that Malaysians value the significance of education.”
