AMMA FOUNDATION AWARDS 15 HIGH ACHIEVERS (SPM 2015 EXAMINATIONS) AND PRESENTS RM270,000 WORTH OF GRANT SCHOLARSHIPS


AMMA Foundation recently held their 14th Annual Achievement Awards Day for 15 students who excelled in the SPM examinations 2015. The ceremony was held at the Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur on 24th July 2016. The students received their awards from Yang Berhormat Senator Dato’ Seri Devamany A/ L S. Krishnasamy, Deputy Minister, Prime Minister’s Department . Other important attendees Mr. A M Khan (Indian High Commissioner’s Office), Datuk Suseela Menon (President of the All Malaysia Malayalee Association - AMMA), Mr. Girish Ramachandran (President of AMMA Foundation), AMMA Foundation Board of Directors, Affiliate Presidents of AMMA and representatives from the family of the Late V D Nair and Taylors University.

The Foundation also presented full scholarships in cash and fee waiver forms to more than 15 students to pursue their tertiary education. These scholarships are the first time being done by AMMA Foundation as we have tied up with the family of the late V D Nair and Taylors University.

Speaking at the High Achievers’ Day, Mr. Girish Ramachandran, President of AMMA Foundation, emphasised that Education is vital for the upliftment of society. “At AMMA Foundation, we look at the entire value chain of Education and explore the avenues where help can be rendered - from providing education loans to free tuition programmes to our junior youth. Young professionals are motivated to excel in this competitive world by AF providing leadership talks and networking opportunities on industry programmes. What they need are new skills in the form of presentation with the ability to process analyse information being thrown at them at faster rates than ever before. Our world is changing rapidly and we need to align and update our educational and entrepreneurship learning methodologies. ”, said Mr Girish.

AMMA Foundation is planning with the All Malaysian Malayalee Association a large scale event next year to engage the youth and entrepreneurs in the community, linking them to global platforms.
