The 34th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of AMMA Foundation was held at the Royal Commonwealth Club, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday, 5 December 2015 at 10.30 am. Quorum was met with 22 members present in person. In 2015, the Foundation organized a number of events, some with the All Malaysia Malayalee Association (AMMA) as well as some community development projects. A number of fund raising activities was held to meet its financial obligations and also to meet the expected increase in demand for financial assistance. In December 2014, the Foundation AMMA Foundation organised the highly successful “Stand-Up for Education” (SUFE), which was attended by approximately 1,000 people with a reach of 45,000 on the various social media. AMMA Foundation is currently working on the sequel to Stand-Up for Education (SUFE2.0), which is scheduled for 30 January 2016 at Wisma HGH, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. On 5 July 2015, AMMA Foundation held a soft launch for our new CSR initiative called My Right to Play, to give underprivileged children from various orphanages an opportunity to shine in sports. Our first sport and event under this programme will be Futsal. This programme is to be fully sponsored by Brickfields Asia College. Upon completion of the AGM, there was a year-end Christmas programme organised and participated by children from the Right To Learn project. The programme included a number of awards, namely : a. Volunteer Awards b. Academic Awards c. Sustained performance and Team Spirit After lunch, the programme continued with performances by the children.
